11/29/2023 0 Comments Chrome in opera developerIn certain situations, it is very handy to have an extensions on the sidebar. Opera also has sidebar extensions, which Chrome does not have. If you use extensions, then you are much better off running Opera than Chrome in terms of privacy and avoiding malware, especially if you stick to downloading extensions from the official addons site. This means there is a way lesser chance of malware extensions creeping in when downloading Opera extensions through the opera extensions catalog. One of the key things to realise here is that the extensions available over at are all moderated manually (along with some automated checks) whereas the extensions on the chrome store are not. I'll try to give a response which I hope covers all the major points.įirstly, the fact that both Opera and Chrome are based on the same engine is a good thing. Okay, I'm a long-time Opera fan and I see this question come up from time to time.
